what does this say about what he thinks about the aac or temple? it's laughable that they should keep it competitive with nova?

Of course, "Temple played a great game" yet St. John's is terrible because "they only won by 14 against Mount St. Mary's. When asked if he criticizes any other fan bases on this or any other site, or even visits boards of other conferences, he simply responded with "That doesn't make St John's fans any less delusional".

Well he must be talking about me, since I believed as of last week we deserved to be ranked based on results and pre-season hype.

Wow, can't believe this guy was celebrating our poor performance last night (even though we won by 15). NONE of us St. John's fans were happy with our performance last night. Nobody was bragging about it. If anything, it was the opposite. Just look at Redmen. A lot of us expect to be exposed by Big East play.

Stever, this isn't the college football playoffs choosing the top 4 teams. Margins in close games don't matter to the AP. They don't even look outside the weekly top 25 games, you really think they'd look at margins vs random mid major teams? Only a handful of them like Jon Rothstein (who actually DOES have us ranked) look that closely.

Your personality on here is completely fake. You don't even have a team to call your own, all you do is troll. You've wasted years of your life arguing with a few dozen people on a message board, and reality keeps going against your own expectations.

I have no respect for you, because the only reason you aren't a complete ***hole on here is because the mods would ban you.

I was definitely not happy with last night's performance and I think we'll struggle when Big East play begins. But I tend to be an optimist and, as of today, we have not lost and that is different from the 3 previous years under Mullin. Year 1 we lost to Incarnate Word and NJIT. Year 2 we lost to Delaware State and LIU - Brooklyn. Last year we did really well OOC but then lost 11 straight to start Big East play. I have said all along that at a minimum I don't want to have to play opening night in the BET. I know that doesn't seem like a lofty goal but when we've been so bad for so long, I'll take the incremental progress. I'll root hard for my Johnnies every game but to me, at the end of the day, it's just a game.

One last thing - I wish I had enough free time to post more about Big East hoops but I've got a ton of other things going on in my life and I'm guessing most of the posters on HLOH do as well. Stever seems like a pretty sad guy. He doesn't even like the Big East yet he has so much time to post on here to rile everyone up. Imagine if he channeled that energy into something more productive.

I agree, I am happy to keep winning. Obviously skeptical/concerned, but still glad to be in the position we're currently in.

Regarding Stever, it'd be like me going onto the Big Ten board to defend the A10 and trash the Big Ten. Then posting on the A10 board about how Big Ten fans are idiots for thinking that Purdue should be ranked since they only beat Ball State by 9. Seriously, this is clearly personal for him and he strongly dislikes us.

We all could be gloating about how AAC is ranked ninth in the conference standings but we're not. We could've gloated last night about Temple losing but we didn't. The only reason AAC is mentioned here is because of Stever's trolling.

One final thing: Stever, you claim to be for the underdog. St. John's is a big time underdog having not won a Tournament game this century. We've seen the conference we founded destroyed by the football schools (and fortunately rebuilt). We are not the big bad cheaters getting paid tens of millions annually like Syracuse or Louisville. You celebrating us beating a cupcake by only 15 points is ridiculous, and you're probably the only person in the world who did.

I don't remember that claim, but the guy clearly buries the A10 every chance he gets.

What I find amusing is that the aaaccck's top is for the most part teams beating up on the cupcakes. Following Rothstein's Twitter I almost think the guy is Stever.

Golden Warrior an appropriate quote to help you:

Now, cease losing any sleep over this board termite.

Yeah, just had a look at the other site. He is completely mocking the A10 every day it seems. It's weird, because nobody is agreeing with him or seems to care. Obviously he's doing it because his own conference is so bad that he needs a punching bag.

I still don't understand his interest in the AAC. I doubt he's ever attended an AAC game in his life. I assume it's because he dislikes the Football 5 and sees the AAC as the underdog, but maybe along the way that changed and it just morphed into pure dislike for the Big East.

Stever, what you're doing isn't healthy. Engaging with us (somewhat) civilly and then bashing us in another forum is pathetic.

I am as big an X fan as anyone but i really can't fathom them getting to 17 or 18 wins this year. I think the 30+ year streak of .500 or better in conference is in peril. Simply not enough guys to get buckets when facing big time opponents. But, hey if the NET helps push X in at say 18-14 (9-9) i will happily accept

the one thing I love and respect about Xavier is they're actually willing to go out and schedule tough no matter what....

1 thing kind of neat is that Warren Nolan's site has their tier records both by RPI and NET- so we'll be able to see just how different those are.... side by side.
