The home for Big East hoops

If i can digress a bit...

The beauty of Ewing on the Hoyas, coached by John Thompson was this:

if a mousey team drives the lane to the hoop, fakes that they got fouled with a head bob, and Georgetown gets whistled... then the next time they drive the lane, Ewing would fvcking hammer them into the 10th row, and they'd have a limp the rest of the game. And they wouldn't do the head bob fake foul thing again.

Evansville could probably have been taught a lesson like that today.

That is all.

Nova currently doubling up Quinnipiac, so that game is over.

15-1. Great start for the Big East.

All the multi bid conferences doing well so far vs D1 competition
ACC 21-0
Big Ten 17-1
Big East 15-1
Pac 12 14-2
AAC 12-3
Big 12 11-3
SEC 14-6

So those 7 conferences- which are the best by winning percentage of all the conferences are 104-16 this week so far. A lot of cream puffs for all 7 of those conferences.

Man, that fifth foul on Marshall was an absolute joke. I predict the NCAA will soon adopt a flop policy like soccer where a flop will cost you a foul. I think they call it simulation.

TYRIQUE Jones! Ty is playing like a MAN this season...only 2 games in, but I am loving his play. Twitter says he's slimmed down a bit. Whatever he did...keep doing it! ;)
(got him in the fantasy league)

Interesting tidbit from the game last night...Joey Brunk was the KenPom MVP. 17 points, 6 rebounds in 24 minutes (1.3ppg, 1.8rpg, 5.5mpg last year). 7-7 from the floor. Anyone that watched the game will tell you he totally earned it.

He supposedly put in a ton of work with Wideman in the off-season, and he was originally a big-time recruiting win for Butler.

For what it's worth, I don't think Miami's post play was any good. Both sides of the court. We'll see how he and Fowler do this week. I expect both Detroit and Ole Miss to be better in that area. Going to be an interesting guy to watch moving forward.
