The overwhelming majority here, including ThrowdownDBrown...(luv that moniker) have already handed the throne, crown, and the keys to the Ferrari to Nova...again.

Not so fast, all of my fair weather feathered friends, not so fast. Nova is good, Nova will be good, but as shown this past season, they are not perfect. The Champs are losing some of their
firepower, some of their leadership, AND Brunson-the guy who drives the bus! There are no guarantees that Quinerly and Jordan of Delaware and the rest can rise to the occasion.
Past performance is not an indicator of future results. I expect the Cats to have a significant dropoff from last seasons results and am inclined to let them play the season out to see
the end, rather than simply hand them the treasure without the treasure hunt. Nova will be fine, just not BE or Nat'l Champs next season.

All the best to everyone - have great spring/summer recruiting, get a new wife and girlfriend, your stocks explode and you join the Facebook kid (Zuckercrook) in riches and Congressional hearings.

Besides, I was thinking of trading in that Ferrari for a Maserati after Creighton wins the Regular Season BE - Ferraris are so yesterday!

I've worked out a deal with Crispy Cremes to drop ship him 10 boxes of doughnuts/day, with a provision

Nova will be good - not unbeatable as in the last couple of years. No Brunson/no Bridges - no titles.

If Holt comes back close to where he was then next years PC team will be the strongest yet since the restart of the BE. Watson and Diallo are both future stars with Diallo's time coming next year. With the exception of Lindsey his senior year almost every player who worked to improve, has under Cooley. I expect more of the same and if even one of the touted freshman class of Dickens, Duke, Reeves, Nichols or Monroe can contribute anything, then I expect a great year from the Friars.

Completely agree. Will only add that Lindsey sure was a disappointment this year.

Agree that Lindsey had an off year. Some of this can be attributed to injuries and his inability to develop putting the ball on the floor and driving to the basket. A trait he never developed after four years but a class act and great friar representative never the less. Bullock was always a trick or treat player never knowing what to expect. Kyron had an up and down year with all his injuries. I'm having a good feeling about next year with all the returning players and agree that if Holt can return to his form of last year they will be just fine. Add in the new recruits and with the trip to Italy in August hopefully they will develop some chemistry going forward. After seeing both Duke and Reeves play a number of times the past two years I'm excited to see what they add to the equation. Add in the excitement of the progress of the new practice facility and Cooley's involvement with a number of quality recruits its a good time to be a friar fan.

Also as a side note. David Duke and AJ Reeves have been selected to play in the Allen Iverson Roundball Classic All American game on Sat April 21'st in Philly. Also I neglected to mention the two other friar recruits in Jimmy Nichols and Kris Monroe who also have great upside. I believe FriarJ might have been the
one who predicted that Nichols might be the one who could be the star of the class. Time will tell how all of their games translate to the next level.

A bit taboo among the Friar Faithful but Lindsey's problems were the summer. There was a reason he wasn't playing in the pre-season and early season and it wasn't his knee.

The timing for the trip is a bit unfortunate with 4 freshman who cannot participate I don't believe.

J I believe the freshmen will be eligible to play in Italy this August. Back in 2014 Rodney Bullock was a freshman and played very well against some inferior competition. Hopefully the competition will be better this trip. In 2014 both Paschal Chukwu and Ben Bentil didn't make the trip because of Visa problems. Also at one of the coaches radio shows in February coach mentioned it would be a good experience for all the players including the freshmen.
