Hey guys!!! Haven’t posted in awhile since it’s been really depressing lately. I cannot begin to tell you how much this win means for Mullin, the program, the fans and THE BIG EAST!! The winless last place team in the Big East beat freaking Duke!!! And we did it with one goaltend and one basket interference not called on Duke. I could give a crap about the Super Bowl now. Today was MY Super Bowl!!!!

This... There were two blown calls that will not be remembered because the Johnies won. Those were awful calls. Can't believe the refs missed both of them

This conference is so much fun, very glad we got St. John's out of the way b/c that should give them some major confidence the rest of the way.

Just got me looking at the ACC standings to see what they looked like and 4 of the bottom 5 in the conference are old BE programs. UNC has a worse record than Seton Hall and a loss to freaking Wofford and has an easy time staying ranked while the Hall gets no respect.

This conference is great. Still doesn't get the respect it deserves, but wins like this help a lot.

The AP has consistently under-rated the Big East. It's a shame. and there is nothing we can do about it. Just gotta keep winning I guess.

How is it possible that the 2nd best league in the country in the RPI today with an 81.50% WPCT has only two teams ranked.

Look at the B12, SEC, ACC getting respect with four teams ranked and we only have a pair. Seton Hall and Creighton both deserved to be ranked. How the heck does the B10 have four teams?

Our RPI jumped 6 points to 22 thanks to the Johnnies. Their RPI went from 110 to 87. Great win for the Big East.

I was at the game and it was a ton of fun. Down the stretch Duke started coming back and they had all the momentum it seemed. We made some brutal mistakes with a few minutes left and missed some FT's and you couldn't help but think "here we go again". Thankfully, this time we actually finished. Even though this season isn't headed anywhere, this felt GREAT. One of the top moments of my life...not sure if that's pathetic or awesome haha. I'm saving my ticket stub...will never forget that game. It just feels so amazing to finally get some real national attention again. To remind people that we can be a factor sometimes. I think I'm most glad that getting this win validates the Big East overall. I hate overhearing people saying stuff like "the Big East used to be awesome...it's not what it once was". Wins like this show that we are still a very good conference and can go toe to toe with anyone. Very odd but we always seem to play Duke tough. We beat them in 2003, then pounded them in 2011. In 2015, Coach K was going for win #1,000 and we had them on upset alert and lost by 7 I believe. We beat them today. Syracuse and Duke do not look forward to playing us. We have become more of a thorn to them.

Lots of you guys think I'm super negative, but today I cannot be happier. In such a mind-bogglingly terrible season starved for a win, to have it come against #4 Duke at the sold out Garden was just unreal. Lots of St. John's fans came out today despite the 0-11. I'm not going to overreact and say I feel any differently about Mullin as coach, but the fanbase and the Big East needed this one badly. What an awesome day and thanks to our Big East bros for the shout outs.
