I would have liked this game a lot more had St. Johns won on Saturday. They are going to win their first game soon, and I'd rather it not be against my Jays with a clipped wing. In two prior trips to St. John's campus, CU is a combined 14-44 from 3 (7-22 each game) (first two games after joining BE were at MSG). We have had strong inside play in those games to win despite such poor outside shooting, and we had a solid game from Martin K. first go around this year. I am concerned about keeping up with the Red Storm if we can't hit from outside. Lose this game and CU falls squarely onto the bubble for tournament consideration, IMO. If ever there is a game for the Storm to break out, I hope it is not this day.

I agree, this game could be a real problem for Creighton. The team still is in shock about Martin and doesn't appear to have things figured out yet (only one game so far, so hard to say). I don't agree that a loss would put us on the bubble, but we need to win some on the road or beat everyone at home to stay on the right side of the bubble. Beat everyone at home and we would have wins over Nova, X, SH and the Friars. Tough to keep us out with that. The margin is getting thinner though!

Have a feeling St. John's will take out all their built up aggression on Creighton today. I personally want Creighton to win to not have that anchor of a loss on their resume. The only anchor I want to see is the loss (wishful thinking) to my Hoyas.
