Who will win the MVP of next years Big East Conference? With a possibility of no Doug McDermott and Porter Jr. who is the best player in the "New" Big East?

Without knowing a lot of the returning players for other teams, I'd say Semaj Christon will be in the mix (especially if he works on his jump shot). If McDermott and Porter come back, it will be between the two of them. I wouldn't be surprised if Dunham from Butler makes a big jump next year too, especially with Clarke graduating. Sampson from SJU seems like he's going to be a real player too.

I'm going to be a homer here and say if he can be more consistent it's got to be Blue.

Assuming neither Doug McDermott or Otto Porter return. Its got to be either Bryce Cotton from Providence(love the rise this program has had recently its nice to see them improving), But more likely Vander Blue especially if he improves at this years bootcamp the same way he did last year, though I wouldn't be surprised if Steve Taylor Jr as a sophomore improves enough to be on a list of candidates. But realistically Bryce cotton and Vander Blue if Doug and Otto don't return.

Let me cast my vote for Jayvaugn Pinkston, VU. Former McD's AA, who is at times unstoppable offensively because of his combination of size and quickness. Without the huge front lines of Syr, Pitt and L'ville to worry about I imagine that JVP is already licking his chops to get conference games started.

I can say with some confidence, it probably won't be a Butler guy, but if it is, it would likely be Kameron Woods. Needs to beef up in the offseason, but is listed at 6'9, is actually 6'10 (and still growing) with a 7'3 wingspan and has really come on well at the end of this season. If he can keep progressing into next season, he could be really good.

I will be a homer also. If Jakkar Sampson returns (doesn't go to the NBA) he could be in the running. Also if he comes back, and that is a big if, I could see Deangelo Harrison from St. John's being in the running. He was 3rd in the big east in scoring last year. Also

I think Semaj Christon will definitely be in the conversation. He won the A10 ROY award this year and was 2nd Team All-Conference.
Also, nbadraft.net and draftexpress.com both have him as a borderline lottery pick in their 2014 mock drafts.

I think the dark horse certainly can be Semaj. His athleticism and ability to score on the drive is really incredible to watch.
Honestly, I feel the award will go to Otto or Vander Blue, and that Creighton fella being in third in the voting.
