big game for both teams, probably moreso Xavier. This is quite possibly final Q1 shot for them at home this year(they have Seton Hall as well, and they're lingering right around the 35 spot right now in NET).

Will be interesting to see if Cesare Edwards gets more time tonight after what he did on Wednesday. You would definitely think he would. And yeah will be interesting to see what happens with Freemantle tonight.

After Xavier lost to Seton Hall, the odds of them being ranked this last week are slim unless *a lot* of teams lose this week. If they beat UConn, though, they might take them down with them.

Feels like X needs this in the same way that UCONN needed the Marquette W.

I think it's almost more.

For UConn after the Marquette game they knew they still would have 3 Q1 for sure/really good shot of 5 Q1 games out of 8 remaining games. Still a ton of chances with 1 for sure and 2 quite possibly at home.
For Xavier after this game they only have 2 Q1 for sure/good shot of 3 Q1 games out of 6 remaining games. Only 1 of those shots possibly at home(if Seton Hall can get top 30).

And they would need Seton Hall to get comfortably enough into the top 30 to not knock them out by beating them. So unless the Hall pulls off something miraculous at Nova tomorrow, I wouldn't count on that being a Q1 game for X.

No idea how this game will finish, but Xavier has their first halftime lead against a non-Butler opponent since @Villanova on December 21. That's crazy!
