This year's tournament will be the fifth NCAA appearance for the Buffs in Boyle's 11 years in Boulder and 15th overall in program history. It is also the ninth postseason appearance under Boyle in 10 years of postseason opportunities (the 2020 postseason was canceled by the Covid-19 pandemic).

Prior to 2012, Colorado had advanced to just two NCAA Tournaments in 42 years (1997 and 2003).

I think this is a pretty decent draw for the Hoyas considering we were going to get a good team given our resume.

Very similar team to Creighton and Villanova. Great Shooting team, doesn't turn the ball over. Similar to Creighton stud PG who stirs the drink.

I think Dante Harris' defense and ability to keep people in front of him is severely underrated. He's not showboaty in his defense going for steals or getting up in people's grill, but he'll keep himself between you and the basket and you're going to have to shoot over him instead of getting by him. He's made all the lead guards in the BE earn their points in this run. Think he can do the same against wright and that will be the key to the game.

The main thing I worry about is the refs and how they call the game. If we get saddled with early foul trouble because they call it tight in the NCAA we could be in trouble.

I had the pleasure of listening to Bill Walton call the Pac-12 semifinals and finals with Colorado playing USC and Orgeon State.

Colorado has a great team. The catalyst for everything is their PG McKinley Wright IV... 3-time Pac-12 1st teamer, can shoot from anywhere on the floor. When he sat after getting elbowed in the head vs USC, the Buffs struggled.

Their big man is a wide-built 260-lb guy, on the idea of Devontae Gardner. first glance, i think Wahab should be fine vs him.

i don't remember any other players specifically though. Georgetown to me has so much depth that i think this is a very winnable game.

The fact of the matter is that this is all gravy from here on in. I do wonder about how they'll call the game, as that could take away our bigger advantage on the inside.

Someone pointed out on HoyaTalk, though, that we actually shot worse, both inside and outside the arc, than our season average during the BET run. The main difference has been cutting down turnovers and playing hellacious defense. If we do those two things, I think we can advance. Colorado is a good team, but their message board seems to be writing us off (I think because they're looking at the overall record, not necessarily understanding that it may not be indicative of the team that's taken the floor over the last month). I don't expect a win, by any means, but I do think we've got a puncher's chance.

I love Bill Walton. Conference of Champions. Colorado looks average to me. Surprisingly they got a 5 seed.

Non-Nova BET Champions (post realignment of course) are 0-2 in the round of 64 so far. Time to change that. Go Hoyas!
