That's not DePaul's primary campus. saying Jackson is the location is like using Creighton's Scottsdale campus as their primary address.

That's what DePaul lists as their official address on their website, so I went with that. Sheffield Ave is definitely worse than Jackson Blvd., too, so I'm sticking with that.

Weird they're using Jackson I actually looked it up to double check. The union's on Sheffield, the quad is at the LP campus. Maybe they're just hoping people see the address and imagine college in the high rises of a global city and a bustling downtown rather than a super ritzy neighborhood that no college kid could afford in their wildest dreams.

Sounds like some schools made up their own street names while others just use the names their communities already had in place

In the Big O the campus was on California St. Then in the 70's the north loop of the interstate cut through and isolated the campus from the western part of the neighborhood. CU got permission to turn that 3-4 block section of California St. into a campus mall. the rest is history. Looks like all of California and also Webster Streets are now pedestrian malls.

Everything east of 24th st is basically new since the late 70's-early 80's, except the law school (44) and the Jesuit Residences (49). There used to be 2-3 buildings South of 480 (bottom of map).
Haven't been in Omaha since '99, so who knows.

PC was traditionally known as being "at the corner of River and Eaton", just old streets within the city grid named 200 years ago.

Butler's on it's third campus, so, eh.

Original campus was at 13th & College Ave; second was in old eastside neighborhood Irvington, and today's campus was built on an old park grounds - Fairview Campus. The street names are based on the city grid. Not sure, but Sunset Ave might actually have something to do with the Fairview Park.

"I couldn’t actually find anything that said Providence named their street after their former President Rev. Cunningham, but it would make a lot of sense that that would be the case."

As bjack said, PC was on the corner of River and Eaton (actual address was 549 River Ave) until 2008 when they changed it to 1 Cunningham Square in honor of PC's 10th president.
