Some SJU Insight from AD

The SJU AD had a twitter question and answer session yesterday - which he does on a regular basis - and there were some interesting things to note. First, he said he doesn't expect SJU to be in MSG until January and there will be less games there this season as opposed to last. It would seem there will only be Big East games there and I would assume the Hoyas, Wildcats and Huskies will be there and maybe two or three other teams. He did not commit as to which teams will play there but said the school will decide considering winning, finances, and health. SJU already knows it's Big 12 opponent which is Texas Tech on the Road. Texas Tech is also in the Pre-Season NIT with SJU at Barclays and he said both schools have requested not to play each other in the first game since they are playing the week after. If that occurs, St. John's would get Arizona or Cincy. The Johnnies are getting a Gavitt game at home and the game will be on campus. As to crowds at games, that will be up to the schools based upon local restrictions and guidelines. NCAA not expected to take a role in that. Some interesting insight.

Thanks for sharing. Those are good insights into the foggy looking glass.

Things will be different, but I have to believe that we'll see college basketball this fall.

BTW, if we see it and you get UC in the pre-season, well, you know what to do.

Thanks for the post -- interesting to think about how uncertain things are at this stage.

I would hope to get Cincy. We've played Arizona the last few seasons. Haven't seen the Bearcats since the old days.
