Lol, not surprising in my case... 52 year olds can be slow to adapt...
I'm old enough where i remember:
- when calculators were first introduced and could be bought by typical families... my father got access to one when i was 6 in 1974-- he taught HS math and the school bought them for the teachers to borrow.
- i was a junior in 1988 when my college started its first "computer lab"... 3 Mac computers and one printer for a student body of 3k... we would have to reserve computer time in 30 minute chunks, often to come into the lab at 2am. (note: this was not Providence College).
- i was 15 in 1983 when we got our first countertop microwave... before then we'd put a Howard Johnson's mac-and-cheese in the oven for 45 minutes before it was edible.
