Let us not allow formality to get in the way of hospitality.

The man is standing on the porch, simply asking to come in for an early cocktail, and with a warm smile on his face. Let the party commence!

Welcome home Husky and UCONN fans.

This f---ing sucks. You can say it's the worst for fanbases like Hofstra, Dayton, SDSU, etc, but as far as conferences go, the BE is the big loser in all this. Our strongest season ever, with 3 legit Final 4 contenders, the hottest team in the country in Providence, Baldwin and Howard who could've gone ham in the tournament.... ugh I have trouble accepting this result.

So how we looking for next season? Nova's projected to be really good. Creighton probably even better if they don't lose Alexander. No clue about others.

It sucks for everyone. Unfortunately, for programs that aren't normally top-4 seeds (i.e. Dayton, San Diego State, Seton Hall, Creighton), that can sting a little bit more, for sure. However, Hall and Creighton are still in power leagues, and Creighton has a lot of returning minutes next year to make another run. Hall loses a lot. For Dayton and SDSU, there are remarkable similarities to the 1994 Montreal Expos; the elite team(s) at the time just become a footnote in history, becoming more and more forgotten over time. For other programs, like Hofstra, it can be especially frustrating since it is a year to celebrate just getting into the tournament. Heck, look at Rutgers and Penn State - two normally doormat basketball programs that would have made the tournament with strong seeds.

There are some programs that are probably indifferent, or even happy, that the tournament didn't get played, as now there is reason why they didn't make a tournament this year (see UNC, Memphis, possibly Indiana, etc.).

For me, I am devastated for all college basketball, but it is a situation out of everyone's control. It would have been nice to see Markus' career have a definitive conclusion, possibly with a March Madness moment or two, but it does not take away any of his accomplishments or successes while at MU. He remains an outstanding representative and ambassador of the university and program. I cannot wait to watch him at his next step.

I do hope they do end up doing a selection show, just to reveal bids. I think that could provide some necessary closure to many in desperate need of it.

Yeah, that actually would be fun. Would spur the usual discussions. They could even have a computer generated tournament with programmed in variables like the usual upsets etc. Meaningless but fun!

Daddy Pitino to Iona. gtmo's dream is dead. We are stuck with the coach who just led us to a top 10 finish and a share of the conference championship. Oh well!
