Probably five conference games and one non-conference game for a total of six games. You’ll never see Georgetown, Nova or UConn on campus and I would guess the other two spots will rotate through. Last year they were talking about all Big East games at the Garden but that was never really a good idea.

Yeah, 4 of the northeastern conference games a year (SH, Nova, GTown and UConn) and the XII challenge opponent every other year and probably another OOC opponent every year. Maybe also the Holiday Classic but that would be a "neutral site game" against the likes of a Fordham.

This is also really until we can prove we can sell more tickets there. As much as we talk about how it's about performance at The Lou vs MSG it's really about ticket sales and money.

Correct. The rent at MSG can't be cheap.

St. John’s makes a profit at the Garden essentially when they hit 10k a game. Last season we sold out a bunch of Garden games because we were good. It’s the same with every other NYC team. When they are good, they sell tix. When they are bad they don’t. Except the Knicks - they always sell out.

Looking at the box scores, it looks like it was one sell out at MSG last year. Still, the others did have huge crowds. Point still holds.

I was surprised the big crowd for Xavier, but much smaller versus Georgetown this season.

The Georgetown game was on superbowl sunday.

Not sure what that has to do with it?

People not going out that day because they had parties to go to or didn't want to go out that day because the game was on later.

I wondered the same thing last year. The dilemma is that the opponents that'll sell tickets at the MSG lead to a competitive disadvantage. I am guessing Anderson correctly felt this way and called for a more fluid arrangement.
