Great interview with Jim Calhoun. 30 minutes long. Though i'm a Friar fan, i've always liked him. Around the 23:30 mark he names Providence as the toughest place to play, cuz the fans all bet on the game.

Strong New England accent may require translation. Interesting to hear him discuss his childhood. Coached 15 years at "Nawth-EAST-in"

Anyway, enjoy.

Glad you enjoyed it too!

Figured our 11th member is joining in just over 4 months. Some basketball fans might like getting some discussion from the guy who put them in the map.

I wouldn't even respond to something like that. No reason for it. There are plenty of people who are interested in hearing an interview with a Hall-of-Fame coach. Also, no offense to the new 3, but they don't have the memories of Jim C and UConn we do. Thanks for sharing! Good listen.

I did not respect the way that Calhoun ran his program. Too many laptop thefts without anyone being held to account, and questionable recruiting practices. Like Syracuse, and Lousville, they represented us on the court well but was not a program that I hoped Villanova would emulate.

But what he did for the UConn Men's BB team on the court is completely amazing. They were bottom dwellers for the most part prior to his arrival. Calhoun comes in and wins 3 NC's and built the foundation for the 4th. Incredible.
