Well, they'll likely be eating some of those losses during the BE portion of the schedule. You do have to worry about the program though. It's hard to imagine Georgetown as a non factor long term, but those of you who are older, and have followed the game for a while know that there have been powerful programs that have bit the dust. DePaul and St. John's have tremendous histories, yet the Johnnies have been largely mediocre over the last 30 years, while until this season, the Blue Demons have looked like they belong in the Horizon. Current non entities like Holy Cross, Duquesne, and St. Bonaventure used to be among the top programs. Nova fans remember when those were top games on the schedule. They all thought their decline was just a stumble, and would be short lived. Didn't turn out that way. The longer Georgetown is a non factor, the harder it will be for them to right the ship. Kids don't care about what you did 20 and 30 years ago. They care about who's good now. Nearly all of Georgetown's glory has come with a Thompson at the helm. If Ewing fails, the next guy better be the right guy. No one in this league is going to step aside for Georgetown. Let's be honest, we all want our fellow teams to do well ooc, and we know what an asset to the league a strong Georgetown program is, but someone has to occupy the cellar, and if I'm a fan of DePaul, Providence, Creighton, or any other BE team, "Oh well, better Georgetown than us".
