Had the Johnnies beat SH...I was hoping they'd get ranked and make this a marquee game. Not sure who to root for at this point.
Johnnies upset the ranked team? Marquette solidifies their standings? Was hoping for 2 ranked teams in this tilt, so I could root for the underdog Johnnies.
We need 2 ranked teams to offer the opportunity for signature wins. Now with only 1 team ranked...not sure which better...to have Marquette bumped down a bit or have them solidly ranked for our game next week.

From a BID perspective SJU needs to win.

I don't like the matchup and don't like that SJU will be playing upset after SHU

I feel like this is the biggest SJU conference game in a very long time. How do we respond after the tough loss to SHU? Our next 2 games are on the road so this game feels even more urgent. Playing the best team in the Big East so far affords us a great opportunity but, Marquette has looked pretty damn good so far this season. Excited to be going to the game tonight. Hoping for a win to put a nice finish to the holidays before reality sets back in!

Popped over to the Redmen forum and was reading a poster that said Marquette is just like the past three years, all offense and no defense. It's hilarious that some of these posters can act so authoritative and have no idea about the facts. Is this common on all the boards where posters claim to have scouted teams but actually don't have a clue? I know there's a couple Georgetown posters making similar claims on their bird about MU.

There's clueless fans on pretty much every fan board. Whether they don't have an idea what they're watching or haven't thoroughly evaluated the opposition. Some fans just go on past history of a team, and use that same evaluation for each and every season.

Those guys don’t speak for everyone MUBoxer. After the seton hall game I went on one of their boards and saw that there’s a number of their fans who don’t believe that St. John’s got screwed by the refs. Just gotta take it in stride

Expecting St. Johns to get nasty and physical...look for Howard to take some HARD fouls and have a tough night scoring from the field but he'll make hay from the line. Red Storm muscles their way to an ugly W.
