I can't believe SJU@SHU was related to regional networks...

Yep, this is why. Poor timing, too bad the game couldn't be rescheduled. I doubt many people saw this as such a big game when the schedule was made.

Would be awesome for us to win obviously, but it will be really tough. Congrats to Hall for having such a good year. I honestly expected them to be in the basement this year.

Really excited/nervous for the game tonight. Sadly(?), I have a holiday party tonight so I won’t be able to watch live. I’m not expecting us to win since the Hall has looked really strong and has also been tested. In addition, our record in NJ this past decade plus has been abysmal....BUT right now everyone is 0-0 so, hope springs eternal!!

Go Johnnies!!!

Well I think it would be awesome for us to win :D

Good luck! (starting after tonight)

St. Johns vs. Seton Hall, I don't like how it's being played up as a winner takes it all match. They're both solid teams, but unfortunately St. John's will get crucified if they lose a road game to a top 35-40ish team.

It's an incredibly stupid narrative, and yes all the haters will come out in force if we lose.

This is only 1/19+ games we'll play to build our resume. I think some people are just anxious to see what happens, and others jealous of our modest success. Must be because we're a NYC team? I don't get it. We're the furthest thing possible from a blue blood.

To be honest, as a St. John's fan I'm just thrilled to be nationally relevant for once. It's nice to have haters.

Goes without saying that this is the most exciting St. John's opening under Mullin. His first two seasons ended in December. Regardless of what happens, at least this will be an interesting season.

Unfortunately because of St. John’s schedule, most college basketball fans in general have just been waiting until we play a “real team” to judge us.

Meaning, if we lose, everyone will say we stink and are overrated. If we win, well who knows. I don’t expect us to win.

If we lose it doesn’t define our season. I am pretty sure we will lose tonight but I’m also pretty sure we will get payback when we play SH on our turf. So no this game does not define the season

Yep, expect a lot of "bulletin board" material if we lose. Would be hilarious to get hot takes from the usual suspects (Goodman, Dicky V, etc) only to have us beat Marquette or Nova a few days later. May be a lot of people eating crow.
