The linked article is another example of what a d-bag Coach K is. Liar. Disrespectful. Hypocrite. D-bag. One-and-done king who tries to deflect towards Calipari. On weekend of Dave Gavitt's passing, crowed that the ACC Tournament will own Madison Square Garden. He's turned into a Mr Magoo character that needs to retire.

"When the following season started with Semi in a similar role, Ernest tried reaching Krzyzewski again, to no avail. So the family asked for a second meeting, this time with Victor accompanying his mother to Durham.

According to Joy, a very different Coach K met them in his office. She said the coach ignited when asked about Semi’s prospects and jumped out of his chair. A terrified Joy knelt in front of the enraged coach.

“He shouted at me. He said, ‘Am I lying, Am I lying?’ Just like that,” she said. “My oldest son said, ‘Coach, she didn’t say you were lying, she was only asking a question.’

“I had tears streaming down my cheeks, and I said, ‘Coach, you’re way up there and I’m down here. That’s why I kneeled down and said forgive me. I didn’t say you were lying. I would never say that.’ Victor, for the first time, he felt so humiliated, so bad and ashamed I was treated like that. It’s OK. I just didn’t want him to feel like I was being rude to him. I just wanted to ask the question."

Not sure where to put this in this slow week, so will place it here cuz i'm looking for ways to keep Coach K's d-baggery towards the top of the thread list:

NY Times Sunday Crossword
April 1, 2018.
19-down: "Big _____ Conference". 4 letters.
Answer: "East".

Reasoning and spoiler alert:
29 across is "GNAT" (component of a summer cloud).
22 across is assumed to be "AVEMARIA" (final song of Fantasia), because 17-down is "IRENE" (Ryan of the Beverly Hillbillies).
18-down is "VISAS", so our word needs to start with an E to follow the V.

You're welcome.

Yes, slow week. But this is still cigarette time for us, a month after our Villanova brothers dismantled the college basketball bluebloods. The Big East is sipping lime-ades on our front porches, looking out at the ocean on a rocky New England bluff, with the breeze off the water flapping Old Glory into the blue sky. And we're doing crosswords without worry.

Gin and tonic and the sandy beaches of the Georgia coast for me. I think I'll go make a big "V" in the sand right now.

EDIT: Am I the only one that thinks Kshasheski looks like Templeton the rat from Charlotte's Web?
