The score isn't terrible so far, but 3 early fouls on Desi is big trouble for the Pirates.

nova is impossible to beat when Spellman is hitting 3s like this. never takes bad shots. every time down the court just methodical. can't wait to see them in action in the tourney.

This is the second or third time I've seen Paschall fall like that. Glad he's okay. He's often the forgotten player by the fans, but arguably the 3rd most important player on the team behind Brunson and Bridges.

Good hard fought game Hall. Seems like the decision was made to leave Delgado under the glass and that opened things up for Spellman

When the bigs on Villanova are hitting threes (Paschall/Spellman), it puts so much pressure on opponents' bigs. Either Delgado has to guard the perimeter (not ideal), or stay in the lane to protect the rim/rebound, leaving space for Spellman to bomb threes (also not ideal).

The Hall wasn't terrible today, but major foul trouble throughout the entire game made things a lot more difficult. Oh and a 6'10" guy who shoots 86% from 3 is a ridiculous weapon. Spellman didn't need to hang with Delgado in the post because he was able to just go hang out behind the arc instead.

On one hand, it feels like a good effort and the score wasn't indicative of how the game was played, but on the other hand it was very disappointing how easily Seton Hall again seemed to give up as soon as they fell more than a couple possessions behind. It's been a frustrating trend lately, especially away from home.

Are we still worried about Nova peaking too early? :D

Was at the game; my impressions:
1). Pick your poison with Nova. I thought SHU did a good job trying to get the ball out of Brunson’s hands. But there are 5-6 players who could all hurt you. Today it was Omari’s turn.
2). SHU absolutely needs to make a run in March. They are mentally and physically tough. For the first 30 minutes they answered every time Nova tried to pull away. With those seniors that team needs to make a S16 minimum.
3). Fun watching Spellman and Delgado battle. Why was AD still in there with 1 min to go and 20 pt spread?
4). This is a fun League.

GG Pirates. See you soon in Newark.
