I feel like there hasn't been as much buzz or promotion this year which is too bad because there are some great matchups.

Yeah, I think part of it is that there isn't that marquee matchup that just grabs you.. Like Instead of having #15 Minnesota @ Providence and Indiana @ #23 Seton Hall- if it had been #15 Minnesota @ #23 Seton Hall and Indiana @ Providence- it would have been better because the Minnesota and Seton Hall game would have grabbed a lot of the casual folks. Guess maybe they were thinking the Wisconsin/Xavier game....

The question for me is when will Michigan St ever participate in this? And if they do, will they just want to play bottom tier teams(given they have Champions Classic every year same week).

X was at Michigan year #1. Understand was supposed to have had a home game year #2 but didn't happen and sat out. Year #3 has X at Wisconsin.
Certainly expecting a home game next season. Ohio State will be at UC to open their remodeled arena so don't see the Buckeyes making two trips to Cincinnati. Hoping like heck it's Michigan State. If not them Indiana would be my second choice. Fingers crossed.

Figure that P'due will win today, but 3 BE wins on Wednesday.

There has been little promotion of even excitement for the games this year, IMO. Bottom line, since Michigan State cannot/will not/has not participate(d), and the rest of the B1G is down (Indiana/Wisconsin namely), there just isn't the same type of intrigue in most years.

Yeah, and then on the BE end of things, Nova isn't participating either.

At the start of the week I was thinking 4-4. Now that Providence went down I'm thinking 3-5. Wins for Seton Hall, St. John's and Xavier. The other four absolutely have a chance to win their games but I think will be the underdogs when the lines come out. Sadly for me, if I had a gun to my head and had to pick one Big East team to lose, I would probably pick my own Golden Eagles. Purdue is a terrible matchup for us. Hope they end up making me looking stupid.

This is probably a bad take, but Purdue might hit triple figures tonight.

Not a bad take at all. Our defense looks improved from last season but I still wouldn't call it close to good. If Purdue's shooters are hot, they could easily hit triple digits with the pace that both teams like to play.
