So glad to see Opening Night in college hoops approaching, only three days away. The Big East has 8 games scheduled.

Friday, Nov 10th, 2017:

Fairleigh Dickinson at #23 Seton Hall, 6:30pm.

New Orleans at St John's, 7pm.
Morehead State at #17 Xavier, 7pm.
Kennesaw State at Butler, 7pm.
Houston Baptist at Providence, 7pm.

Columbia at #6 Villanova, 8:30pm.

Yale at Creighton, 9pm.
Mount St Mary's at Marquette, 9pm.

That's a sneaky, scary game for Creighton. Yale could probably get them 3:1

Yale is a likely top 100 team so definitively a scary game.

We definitely should not have lost the Rutgers game. Can't afford any major stumbles early. We can't take the LIU type losses this year. We should be able to show that we can take care of the lower end F5 teams like Nebraska, Rutgers, etc. We are not a great team by any means, but if this coaching staff is anything good they will get the most out of this roster. We must start consistently beating the Rutgers, Nebraska, Arizona State, Oregon State, etc. of the world. It's understandable losing to the Wisconsin and Michigan State type teams but not the low end programs. My hope is that we beat New Orleans by 10+ and get some consistency and chemistry going which will lead to confidence and taking care of business. We have major size issues, but IMO our defense has proven to be a much bigger issue than our size. We actually out-rebounded a much bigger Rutgers team but still lost because they shot nearly 70% in the 2nd half. It's hard to shoot 70% without a defense. Must take care of business against much less athletic and talented teams. I really think we need to hire outside help on the coaching staff. I hope it turns around since the very ugly Rutgers game, but it looks like not much has changed defensively.
