Some mind-blowing stats I'd like to throw at you... (Just focusing on "original" BE programs)

Their last 10 years in the BE and after each left (NCAA bids and what kind of bids)

Last 10 years in conference:
Pitt - made tourney 9/10 years; top 5 seed (representing one of the top 20 programs) 7/9 years
Cuse - 8/10; 8/8 yrs as top 5 seed
UConn - 7/10; 6/7 as top 5 seed
BC - 6/10; 3/6 top 5 seed

Since they left:
Pitt - 2/4; 0 top 5 seed
Cuse - 2/4; 1/2 top 5 seed
Uconn - 2/4; 0 top 5 seed
BC - 3/12; 1/3 top 5 seed

In total:
In BE - 75% bid rate; 80% top 5 bid when they got a bid
Since - 37.5%; 22% top 5 bid rate

Conversely PC and SHU have gotten multiple bids in multiple years. That's something that neither had done for decades. There seems to be clear winners and losers in this hoops realignment.

"Little Sisters of the Poor Conference"
"The C7 is too small to ever possibly remain a power basketball conference."
"The Big East doesn't have ESPN to keep them propped up."
"The Big East will never win a national championship ever again."
"The Big East cannot be successful without football. Football drives the bus."
"The long-term potential of the Big East is not as strong as ____, because it's not a year-round conference, without large alumni bases, and without public universities supporting it."

When Georgetown, DePaul and St. Johns (next year) get things turned around, this league will be the best conference, top-to-bottom, in the country - no matter what channel it is on, or how many alumni are sponsored. Anyone - casual fans, media pundits or jilted forum posters - that cannot acknowledge the Big East is a power basketball conference, and is here to stay long-term - is delusional or A koolaid-drinking homer!

Long live the BIG EAST!!!

All three new Big East members are in. Syracuse and U-Conn are out.

That's all I got.
