NCAA Tournament - Selection Sunday

Unchartered territory for a "new" league to get 70% of it's teams into the dance.

My Big East seed projections:

1- Nova
4- Butler
7- Creighton
8- Hall
11- Marquette/Xavier
12- Providence

Where am I off? Feel like Butler should get a 3, but 1st round BET loss might knock them down a seed line.

The Big East is bound to have someone in the first four right?

lunardi has BE teams with byes. although he also has seton hall as a 10 which seems little low. dangerous 10 seed if accurate

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here.

These are the multi bid leagues this year:

ACC
Big East
Big Ten
SEC
Big 12
Pac-12
American (Cincy & SMU)
A-10 (Dayton & URI? Maybe VCU?)
WCC (Gonzaga & St. Mary's)

That's it, right?

If Illinois State gets in, then MVC.

Creighton could be a 6 or 7, maybe an 8 if the committee downgrades us for Watson's absence. I'm not sure it matters. I'd rather be playing in KC or Milwaukee as a 7 than out west as a 6.

Providence is best bet.

Lookin' to me like either Xavier or Providence will have to play a first four game, though I think both are better than at least four at-large teams. X will have a better RPI, Sagarin, and Ken Pom than at least 6 at large teams, and Providence finished the season on a very strong note. And especially, I can't figure out why Syracuse is still even in the bubble discussion, much less why Lunardi and a bunch of other smart guys think they'll get a bid. If they do, they'll do so on the "strength!" of an 18-14 record (the worst winning %, the worst RPI, and the most losses outside the top 100 of ANY team to EVER get in.) Michigan State at 19-14 is only a whisker better, though most of the talking heads think they're a solid 10 seed -- nowhere near a first four game. I guess future Hall of Fame coaches deserve special consideration, huh
