Luckily this will be our only 300+ rpi team this year. Coaching staff was much smarter scheduling decent teams like buffalo, akron etc....

just saw from ESPN:
Creighton scored 113 points tonight in a win against Longwood. That's the most points it has scored in a game since 1/19/85 when it scored 115 against Indiana State. The 113 points is the 5th most in school history.

Isn't Longwood an Assisted Living Community? I'm surprised they have a basketball team. Very nice people there, the last time I visited.

I believe It's next door to St Thomas Aquinas, in Sparkhill... Aquinas (Div 2 Power school) won't stoop to playing Creighton, unless it's on their court, so the Jays had to do what they had to do (sign RPI #350/351).

It's actually a school in Virginia.

There has been talk in the local media about doing an intra-state thing where Creighton plays Nebraska (Lincoln-B1G) and Nebraska-Omaha (Summit). I'm a supporter of things like that even though Omaha wouldn't be an rpi booster, but especially so after going to the game Friday night. Longwood was terrible--our bench guys were in late in the first half and the halftime score was 60-25. There wasn't a huge crowd to begin with, but many of us left at half time to go watch our volleyball team beat Michigan to make it to the elite 8 for the first time in school history. The bball game was unwatchable.
Even if Omaha wouldn't be an rpi booster (heck, the Huskers certainly aren't either at this point in time), it would still be a fun game with local interest. More for the fans than anything. My two cents.
