something kind of interesting. They have 8 teams listed there.

Either one of those 8 is a mainland team only
OR
Chaminade wouldn't be included in the tournament.

interesting- got my answer:

As for Chaminade, the host school will still get a chance to compete for the championship in odd-numbered years, beginning in 2019, but the field will be exclusively Division I in even-numbered years.

so would expect real good fields in even years- but in odd years- no where near as good.

Auburn is going to get slaughtered. They might lose to Chaminade.

Old "Welcome to my Barbeque" Bruce Pearl, has been doing some very good recruiting down there in 'bamaland. Don't be too quick to discount the Auburn Tigers. They had a steep learning curve last season, and may still have a bit to go, but should be a team to reckon with by 2017 and 2018. Bruce can coach, in spite of loving to play in the dirt. ;)

His teams have reflected his personality - playing up to the opponents level - especially when the lights are on and cameras are rolling. I suspect they will compete well in 2018 - regardless of opponents.

Yup, I believe they have three top 50 guys in the 2017 class.
