Just How it Is Now

Several years ago, I eagerly anticipated each new bball season, secure in the knowledge that if my favorite team didn't win the A-10, they'd at least finish #2 or #3, win 20+ games, and almost certainly get an at large bid to the big dance. Now, despite the fact that my beloved Musketeers are ranked somewhere between 5 and 12 in every pre-season poll I've seen, I find myself worrying that we just might not even finish in the top half of the league, that we just might get beaten by a whole bunch of league teams, that we might (gulp!) not even get a dance ticket. Part of me thinks this is just crazy anxiety, but another part of me thinks there are almost no truly weak sisters in the league, that anyone can beat us any night, and that a key injury or two, or just a couple of off-nights from a couple of key players could result in devastating losses. Ooh, aah, anxiety! And you know what, I LOVE it this way! Long live the new BE.

You sound so much like my dad haha!! But I'm also worried for Xavier this season. Especially not knowing what's up with Myles or the post situation yet. You are not alone!

What a classic old tune this is. Heard daily each season by those wonderful, knowledgeable, and highly astute basketball minds in Omaha. I thought it was a merely a local malady - the local utility (Metro Utility District-MUD) spiking the Big O's agua. You Ohioans aren't importing Muddy Mo (Missouri River) water are you? Stealing Ogallalla Acquifer water (as Colorado does) for your bottled agua? I suppose Every team has it's share of worry warts and high anxiety fans. Hmmm, maybe now I have use for those extra 20 vats of premium "Blue Juice" over in the warehouse?
Let's see...20K liters/vat, 400K liters X $10 per = a smooth $4 Mill. Yep, I can begin shipments to all BE cities by mid October...just in time for the season's tipoff.
Got you guys covered...a couple of good shots of the ol' Blue Juice and you'll be sing in' confidently and loudly the merits and accomplishments of your team - regardless of the seasons' realities - you can thank me later!
PS: 1 minor little side effect of gtmo brand "Blue Juice"...on occasion (daily) you may drift back into your normal reality finding yourself wearing Creighton gear and singing "The White and the Blue." It's That Good!

Well, Xavier is a true blue team (as are Creighton, Seton Hall, Villanova, and Butler), while Depaul, Marquette, and Georgetown all use blue trim (Marquette even wears those bright blue uniforms from time to time.) Only Providence and St. John's don't use blue, so you do have a potentially significant blue juice market right here in the BE. Relieves upset anxiety too? If so, put me down for a couple of cases!

Ohio has a Muddy Waters alright but he is a Dayton fan.
