I'd have included Khadeen Carrington in here. Perhaps he's already considered to be "broken out" but I expect him to take his game to another level this year with his new role of replacing Isaiah Whitehead as Seton Hall's go to guy. Dezi Rodriguez is another guy who will almost certainly see his role increased and could take a big step forward.

Agree. KC has been a Nova killer to boot. Very nice player. Will be interesting to see everyone on that team post IW.

I agree with him, Fazekas looked really good before he caught mono which effectively killed the rest of his year. Early reports are that he has gained all his weight back and more and looks like the best player right now. Means nothing but it's very encouraging to hear stuff like that from people that have seen him. I see him as becoming a player in the Steve Novak mold.

Cartwright is one tough kid from Compton and he will be the absolute emotional and floor leader of the team.

Yakwe is gonna be a beast this season! First team all conference for sure!

Not saying he can't but it will be tough. There are those that at this point almost seem automatic:

Hart
Mo Watson
Blueitt
Kelan Martin
Maybe Kris Jenkins
Maybe Sumner
Maybe Delgado

That's 7 right there and only 6 make it. Who would he replace on that list? Then you have a whole bunch of guys that are really good that he'd have to out perform:

Peak
Copeland
Huff
Macura
Garrett Jr
Carrington
Rodriguez
Cheatham

He's definitely a talent but SJU would have to finish in the top half and he'd have to separate himself from others on his team.

Alot of potential candidates, don't forget about Marcus Foster either...

Obviously I am biased being a Xavier Fan.... But I think Kaiser Gates is going to have a huge breakout year!

And like I said, he's gonna be a beast this season. The kid has unbelievable athleticism and with another year under his belt and can actually play the entire season not just the second half he's going to really flex his muscles. Four of the six first teamers from last season are gone. Only Blueitt and Hart return. Yakwe are just as good if not better than all those guys on that second list.

Except Yakwe hasn't actually done anything to show he is as good as or better than any of those guys on the list. Much like your boy Slice never actually did anything to help St. Johns become the great power you see them as in you Queens tinted glasses. Hope Yakwe works on his FT shooting if he is going to be a "beast" this year. Otherwise he will just be another guy who can't stay on the floor in important situations because he can't shoot.
