I saw this tweet this morning from XUfan2012 and it got me thinking: Fraschilla the guys that didn't get drafted or didn't go in the first round to make them have the Euro upside. I thought this might be a fun distraction...

Kellen Dunham aka ("Kelleno Dunhamowitz"):
"This guy can shoot it out of the gym. Had a hard time driving in the paint, but has become more of a creator in the last year or so. He led Indiana in scoring as a 17-year-old, and you know basketball there is very good. Look at the history of players coming from Indiana. Dunham was an honorable mention all-league candidate in the best league in the nation last year. If you're looking for a spot up shooter that can be stashed away in the D-league to improve his pro game for few years, this is your guy."

That was my tweet lol

You are right though, these European players get such a ridiculous benefit of the doubt. Half of the draft picks would have to fight for minutes in a power conference.

Here is mine,

"Jalen Reynolds. This kid is an athletic freak. His game needs some polish but the upside is incredible. Get him out of Slovenia and into an NBA system and he could get that polish very quickly."

the thing is, a lot of it IMO is that the Euro Players the NBA teams can stash away in Europe for a year or 2 after drafting, giving them time to mature, and then bring them over- able to keep their rights. For American college guys, that's not an option.

Yea, that is an unfair advantage to the Euro players. The NCAA needs to let kids come back after they get drafted. What do they care?

Yeah totally agree. Allow the NBA team to keep their rights just like they do the foreign players. Just make it once they come back, they can't play in the NBA for that particular season.
