Thanks for the info. I make it a point to look at those numbers every year, so I appreciate the link.

4 in the top 50 + Georgetown at #51. Very good showing. Villanova should get a boost next year from their NC run.

Nova hurt by 6500 cap at pavilion and only 3 games at Wells Fargo Center. Hoping renovation of pavilion increases capacity. Sellout all games at pavilion and 2/3 sold out/close to sell out atin philly......

Are they planning on expanding the pavilion? Seems Nova could easily sell out 10k seats a game.

They are renovating it to add amenities, but I doubt Radnor would allow them to expand the capacity very much. Seems like a hissy fit gets thrown every time Nova tries to do something. I really think the community undervalues what the school brings. I think Nova could very easily sell out a 10k arena even in down years, but sadly it doesn't look like that is a possibility in the near future. MU is lucky in that the city and neighborhood are pretty much happy to let us do whatever we want around here.

I would think Villanova would be playing about 7 games at Well Fargo next season. No need for three in hope to play in Philadelphia for the NCAA Tournament in 2018.

Ha! Yeah sure, before the title this year, it was crickets & empty seats at Nova home games. Look, I'd love to have the Century Link or Cintas next to Campus, but we are limited by what we can build in the Main Line. So, most games @ the tiny Pavilion (aka the "dump") + only 3 at Wells Fargo = bad average, duh! Plus, while two WF games were sell-outs or close (18k+), one was that weird post-blizzard, rescheduled-to-Sunday-afternoon PC game that had only like 8k in attendance. There's definitely not a lack of demand for Nova tickets, as evidenced by the fact that I have to spend a fortune on Stubhub to see games on campus (proud #500 or so on the wait list right now).

As a Nova alum that lives 30 minutes from campus, I can count on one hand the # of games I've been to in the Pavillion in the last decade. Just not easy to find tickets and truth be told, unless you are in the lower sections, it is just not a good place to watch a game. Frankly, I'm not ashamed in saying I've grown out of bench style seating. Cramped, poor sight lines. I'll pass. But I usually hit at least 2 WF games per year and make the pilgrimage to MSG vs. the Johnnies or the BET just about every year. I would imagine, this year at least, that every WF game will be sold out regardless of opponent.

Gotta love the fan support in Omaha. CU was a great addition to the league.

I was just going to say this. I expect many more games at WFC and with the championship belt around their waists I expect bigger crowds and a big jump next season with the real possibility of a top 30 attendance figure next year.
