Thank you guys for your thoughts and prayers. Everyone around Dayton is in shock right now.this is the 2nd time in 20 years Dayton has lost a player like this. So sad and way to young. The kid was working so hard

Autopsy today. I heard it was an enlarged heart. I thought there were medical screenings all of the kids went through.

Big Steve's heart and it really should read Big Hearted Steve was checked for sure in February. He was forced to sit out a game or 2 with flu like symptoms and he was examined which included checking all vital signs. It's a crushing senseless loss of a great kid. I hope and pray for the best for his family, friends and UD community.

I was stunned and saddened to hear the news. Our sincerest condolences to Steve's family. Thanking the X posters and all on this board for the kind thoughts extended to Big Steve's family and our BB program. Especially appreciative of mention on a Board where we are not a conference member.
