Thought it would be interesting to see what the "overall standings" of the Big East are since it's new formation.

Most Conference Wins:
1. Villanova (48)
2. Xavier (33)
3. Providence (31)
4. Georgetown (27)*
5. Creighton (27)*
6. Butler (26)
7. Seton Hall (24)
8. St. John's (21)#
9. Marquette (21)#
10. DePaul (12)

*Georgetown leads series against Creighton 4-2 since formation of the league.
#St. John's leads series against Marquette 4-2 since formation of the league.

By Finish Each Year:
1 point for first, 10 for last, etc. Least points = 1st, most points = 10th.
1. Villanova (3)
2. Providence (11)
3. Xavier (12)
4. Georgetown (17)%
5. Butler (17)%
6. Creighton (18)
7. Seton Hall (19)
8. St. John's (20)
9. Marquette (22)
10. DePaul (26)

%Georgetown leads series against Butler 4-2 since league formation.

Assuming we get the 5 in this year, this is what NCAA appearances look like for the league.

(Alphabetical)

Providence 3/3
Villanova 3/3
Xavier 3/3
Butler 2/3
Creighton 1/3
Georgetown 1/3
Seton Hall 1/3
St. Johns 1/3
Depaul 0/3
Marquette 0/3

amazing only 3 teams are over .500 since the new formation...

and bet no one would have said Georgetown tied for 4th in the 3 years combined.

Even more amazing to me that in only 3 years 80% of the league has made the NCAA. You would be hard pressed to find another league like that.

That is painful to see for the 12 years prior to the New Big East we were a notch below being a blue blood... oh how far we've fallen. Next year better yield some good results, I'd also be happy to take winning the Big East tournament this year.

I always like this kind of aggregate look at things.

Really hoping this conference doesn't turn into the Big 12 with Nova playing the Kansas role of winning the regular season every year with the rest of us bouncing around below. Nice to have a consistent top 10 program, but it takes some drama out of the regular season.

Big 12. 90% in the league will have made the NCAA in 3 years... Only TCU not.

Also Pac 12 if Cal, USC, and Oregon St make it this year will have 10/12 teams in the 3 years.... Only 2 Washington schools not making it....

Pretty good nonetheless. Hoping Marquette makes it 90% next year.
