Yeah lol, DePaul is so bad that beating them actually counts as 2 losses and a negative win haha

Is Ellenson going to be o.k. for the Butler game? If MU can pull that one off, then it takes the 5 seed and Butler drops to the 7th seed play-in game, I believe. Tie-breaker last year was first based on the records of the three tied teams against each other. MU would be 3-1 against CU and BU, while BU would be 1-3. CU at 2-2 within the mini three-team pool, and would remain in 6th.

you are correct. Creighton is pretty straight forward....
win- and in 5th/4th if PC loses to St John's
loss- and in 6th

Anyone else find it convenient that none of the 5 Big East teams playing for a tourney spot (or better seed) will be playing each other this weekend? All have a chance to end the season on a win.

well going into the season, you had preseason 1 vs 2 playing each other (Georgetown/Nova). 3 vs 6 playing each other (Butler/Marquette). 4 vs 9 playing each other(Xavier/Creighton). 5 vs 10 playing each other (PC/St Johns). and 7 vs 8 playing each other(Seton Hall/DePaul). I think the hope was that Marquette may have been a smidge better and their game with Butler could have been huge.

Looking like we'll get 5 bids, worst case scenario 4. Big East fortunately created some separation in the top and bottom half teams during the last couple weeks.

Edit: I guess mathematically 3 is still a possibility if everything goes wrong, but I'd bet on 5 at this point

It would take St John's personally killing the chances of PC and Butler. Literally.
