2 games in the Big East here on Groundhog Day:
7pm, Georgetown at Butler. FS1.
9pm, Providence at DePaul. FS1.
Tonight there will be great hoops, Matthew McConaughey Lincoln commercials, Lexus commercials where a hot brunette with ruby red lips sniffs a guy's neck in Paris, and Bill Murray with Andie McDowell at some point.
Butler vs Georgetown is a must see, as each team can grab the inside track to being our 5th tourney team as we approach the last turn.
DePaul at home got off to a 9-0 lead vs Xavier last game, and did the same a couple of other times. They haven't been able to sustain their leads, either due to fatigue, lack of depth, and a bit of a talent gap. I think they've done well in playing solid ball, unlike Purnell's teams, which often lost focus.
Also, the commercial where the blonde woman in the red jacket crosses a river with the help of a guy in a Range Rover... couple of questions:
1. Why doesn't the guy continue driving her to her destination?
2. Why is he driving offroad in such a desolate place?
3. Where is she traveling to, and where did she come from?
4. She seems to have been unprepared for the river crossing... has she never traveled this route before?
5. Both of them should be wearing winter hats, they're gonna catch colds.

Georgetown/Butler isn't just a must see, it's a must win. The loser is pretty close to out, especially if Butler loses the game. With Butler- pretty tough to see the path to 9 conference wins if they lose this one. Not with 2 with Seton Hall, 1 @ Georgetown, 1 with Xavier, and 1 @ Nova in the last 8 games(of which they would need to win 6 games- they would need to win 3 of those 5 games).
Georgetown would need to win 5 games with a remaining schedule of 2 with Seton Hall, @ PC, Xavier, Butler, @ Marquette, @ Nova. They would need to win 4 of those 7 games.

#6 - why open the 3rd row seat when it make more sense for it to stay folded down for dogs?

Gr8 games tonight. Especially the first one. But any road game can be difficult, so I am excited to see Dunn and Bentil do their thing in Chicago and hopefully come away with a win.
The Gtown v. Butler game is one of those funny ones that I don't really care who wins, but it's a huge game. Whomever wins really puts themselves in better position moving forward.

I commented to my wife during that commercial the other day that no way some hot blonde is out dogsledding. She agreed. And it looks like they are trying to ford a river. Cmon.

so hayes scores in the low post two consecutive trips. wideman picks up 4th foul and goes out of the game. hayes has the ball again in good position. no double team. and inexplicably he passes the ball out for a missed 3pt attempt. the next trip instead of setting up down low he gets the ball high post. gets pressured and loses the ball and fouls the defender. I don't get this team at all.

Georgia and Tennesee with big wins tonight. Will provide a small RPI boost for Seton Hall and Butler, respectively.

Georgetown is perplexing that is for sure... BU had nothing for Hayes in the low post and they just stopped trying to get it to him down there? Have a lot of talent and size, but something just doesn't gel? Kelan Martin was on fire tonight: 35 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks and a steal!
