Bracketology

Just a thought- let's do one thread for bracketology rather than a new thread each day- kind of similar to the conference realignment or the FS1 thread....

Here is 2/1 from Palm:
BE:
X 1 MW
Nova 2 E
PC 4 S
SH 8 E
But 12 E PIG

He's got Butler as the 2nd team in. I think that's probably really optimistic.

Here's Lunardi:
Nova 1 W
X 2 E
PC 4 S
SH 11 S PIG

Butler 1st team out. Georgetown 5th team out.

Think Nova will be interesting. I think they have to be ahead of UNC to get the East region. They aren't going to ship a higher rated UNC team out west while giving Nova the East. And if Nova isn't a 1 seed, I don't see them putting a 1 seed at a disadvantage. They stopped doing that when George Mason got to play at the Verizon Center in 2006 and made the final 4.

Palm has had Butler higher than most all season long. I really doubt an aggregate view of all of the mock brackets would include BU at the moment.

very true. Looking at Bracket Matrix, 13 brackets were published yesterday and only 6 had Butler in. With 4 of those 6 like Palm having them in the PIG.

I feel bad for whatever 1 seed gets providence in their bracket. They are poised for a deep run with two dynamic scorers.

Interestingly both Palm and Lunardi have PC in the South Region with Oklahoma as the #1 seed in their bracket.

No kidding! So, it should say Opening Round. In a field of 68 can't be a play-in, if they are already in.

Huh?

Huh?

He actually stated that neither Xavier nor Villanova would 6 games, but then went on to name about 10 other teams (all from the "Power 5" conferences, I might add) who could. Several of those teams, obviously enough, are ranked below X and 'Nova. He's an idiot.
