We have a BE game that tips off in 38 minutes live from New York.
12pm, Villanova at St John's, Fox.
Bad news about Daniel Ochefu's concussion. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Should be a good crowd. Lots of villanova alumni live in New York. A sea of blue at Madison square garden today.

Nova driving and mid range shots = good results
Nova shooting threes = bad results

Didn't see much blue. Didn't hear much blue. And on the court, looks like Villanova is rounding into March form a little earlier than usual this year. Hope Xavier has it in them for a deep run come tournament time.

Nova just had a chance to cover a twenty point spread on the road in the final minute with their center missing.
I'm happy.

Fun game but unimpressed with Nova. This kind of a performance in the tournament would be a second round exit.

Yeah, I'd have a tough time calling a 15 point win without your starting center concerning.

Really? St. John's also played without their starting center (Sima), and without a point guard, having had LoVitt unavailable this season, and with what is clearly the most inexperienced team in the country. Despite that the game was basically decided at the free throw line (19-7 Nova) St. Johns isn't good, but still turned Nova over 20 times. St. John's defends the 3 worse than anyone in the league, but Nova still only connected on 7-22 (31%) continuing their dismal record in that regard. Whether they're a one seed or a two, this hardly looks like a team playing the kind of basketball that will get them to the second weekend. Once again.

No shit talking meant- personally Nova is my second favorite team because they've represented the new Big East better than anyone.
I thought it was a very ugly game all around. Nova had 20 turnovers. 20. And all it took was some pressure from SJU. Would be interesting if other Big East teams start pressuring Nova (if they haven't been already).
