did anyone see the post game press conference on FS1 tonight from last night's Georgetown/Creighton game? JT3 was talking about the refs being pretty diplomatic, but JT2 started talking saying how it was a load of crap now 2 games in a row.
Will be interesting to see what kind of whistle we see on Saturday with the PC/Georgetown game for sure.

Georgetown removed the youtube video of it, but here is the exact quote
"Last two games have been terrible, you can tell the f***ing commissioner and everybody else in the Big East that I said that."
http://www.csnmidatlantic.com/node/3052 ... ner-i-saidMust've been pretty bad because the entire room (journalists included) seemed to accept that Georgetown was getting hosed. I didn't see the game so can't comment myself.

Even the Creighton board was talking about how badly Georgetown was getting hosed by the refs in their game thread. That's how bad it was.

I agree that the Hoyas saw the worst of the bad calls, but the crap flew both ways.
Those refs were simply terrible, and they should be fined/suspended/whatever. They were hugely inconsistent in what constituted a foul, whistles were super late, etc. I haven't seen it that bad since I was in a high school gym in northeastern Wyoming 30 years ago. Sometimes small/no contact drew a call and sometimes it didn't. Sometimes big-time contact drew a foul but sometimes it didn't. The players had no idea how to play because of the inconsistency. Players will adjust to how a game is called if the refs are consistent. Otherwise it's a cluster.
And how about the 5 minute review of whether Hanson's 1st half dunk counted or not? It was close, but the announcers figured it out in about 15 seconds. There was another huge delay/review later in the game. What took so long in either instance is completely unknown.
Just terrible all around. I'm glad a voice as significant as JT2 spoke up.
On another note, everyone can now see that my Jays have been exposed. We simply don't have enough ball handlers or good on-ball defenders to be successful late in tight games. The refs swallow their whistles (in most games anyway), and the opponents tighten their defense, and we have no ability to generate good shots--especially when Watson fouls out. And why was a sub-48% free throw shooter (K Thomas) in the game in the last seconds when everyone knew GT was going to foul? Not the coaching staff's best game, for sure. They extracted defeat from the jaws of victory.
Ok (deep breath). I'm done.

One of the worst games I have ever seen for refs. Georgetown definitely got the worst of it. I remember watching several mystery calls.

It was bad, and Gtown got the wrong end of three in a row in the span of a minute at one point midway through second half. Don't know how JT3 kept his composure there. Probably good thing snow storm kept the place almost empty. Might have had a full fledged riot had it been a full house. Although CU got hosed on a couple calls also.
