Gr8 win for the Friars

Wow, what a difference a day makes.

We started the day with many bracket experts having the Friars all the way down to the 8/9 game territory, and kenpom having them as the last team dancing as a 12 seed.
We started the day with the national media adopting the narrative that Josh hart was now the man to beat in the big east player of the year race.

But by the afternoon Providence had played their way out of the bobble trouble talk and solidly in the dance, now playing for seeding. And Kris Dunn has played himself back into the national player of the year conversation and firmly in control of his big east player of the year award.

What a gr8 day for the Friars. Congratulations.

Well, if you want to be accurate (probably not), a quick look at Bracket Matrix shows that 51 out of 57 brackets had them as a 7 seed of higher. Only 6 out of 57 (10.5%) had them as an 8 seed or lower. So when you say "many", I guess it depends on your definition.

Well, we don't have to worry about bubble trouble for PC anymore. They're dancing after today.

NovaBall... we don't need you to open a thread to let us know that it was a great win for the Friars. We are all aware of that.

and how a 16-3 Providence team was in bubble trouble prior to today's win is beyond me. A 16-3 Providence team should've been solidly off the bubble anyway

The only experts saying any of this are the voices in this losers head. He lost all credibility with me this week with his 2 threads he started on Nova's board. One where he wanted an NIT chant started for Providence at the game and the other one where he started a rumor that Rutgers was going to go after Cooley and Cooley had told them he was interested.

He is officially dead to me for bringing anything useful to these boards, his opinion just can't be taken seriously.

Hey, 10% of the experts on bracket matrix had providence 8 seed or worse, and kenpom had PC as a 12 seed.

I am not saying I agreed with them, but the experts were dropping providence like a rock.

This win takes away any doubt. Huge day. Prividence punched their dance ticket in late January. That's a good thing.

I certainly have never heard that Cooley might be interested in the Rutgers job. I definitely never said as much, because I am hearing this news for the first time now.

I would not be surprised to hear that rutgers is interested in Cooley. I have actually heard his name pop up from some rutgers fans. But Ed would be foolish to go to Rutgers. He loves Providence, and PC is paying him well.

false rumors of cooley to rutgers, carlesimo to seton hall, and josh hart as BE poy have one thing in common... that they were all ideas hatched in your head.

and i can't keep track, but i thought you submitted a one-sentence thread saying cooley was going to rutgers, but the thread was disapproved i think. either here or on the friars board you posted about it..

I cannot imagine any way PC misses the tournament now, barring a Dunn/Bentil injury and subsequent tanking. They are undefeated on the road, have four top-25 wins and are 16-3. That's a resume of a 3 or 4 seed, not a 9 seed.

ball, as a Nova fan, I must put it out there how embarrassing it is to be in any way associated to you. You literally ruin every single thread you touch, and you clearly get your rocks off on it. Sad.
