Ouch!

We are in an era were 99% of the population has A.D.D

How dare you expect people to be focused on one event for 2+ Hrs? No way!!!

You gotta give them WiFI, LCD Screens in front of their seats, and all sort of gimmicks to make them stick around.

This ain't a Creighton problem. This is sadly happening pretty much everywhere.

Even with "thousands" leaving for the exits, Creighton still has more fans when the clock hits zero than most Big East teams will get in a night.

Another example of internet jibberish about who are the "true fans." I'd like to see this guy show us how the true fan acts. Ooooh, he stands and claps! He's a true fan!

I was at the game and shook my head when I saw empty seats with 4-5 minutes left. But consider that (1) they bought tickets and can do what they want (2) late game on a weeknight (3) lots of kids come to CU games and have school the next day (4) lots of people work. Hey, Omaha has one of the lowest jobless rates in the country! (5) the game might have been a big one, but it was a rock fight. Not more than a couple of opportunities to get up out of your seat and cheer. Like watching a tooth extraction, in spite of the stakes.

Probably written by a kid looking to get clicks. I go to every game. There are a handful of people who leave early for whatever reason, but cmon? Thousands? What BS. In my section on Tuesday night, I didn't see anyone leave early. If you watch the TV replay this garbage viewpoint is not substantiated at all - full house cheering and screaming as Watson tied the game late only to see Dunn answer at the buzzer.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

Di-hard Jays fans have been complaining about this for years. It got worse when we were relegated to the 8PM game on FS1. No, that is not that late, except if you have kids in grade school. Now the games are at 8:15 so we can listen to Lavin between games. Seriously, does Lavin hurt more than help? If you go from buzzer to tip off, wouldn't most fans stick around?

Add in the fact that most people you see leaving park in Lot B (Season Ticket Holders), and the traffic patterns add 45 more minutes to get out of that lot, and you can see why a few older fans, and fans with kids, leave a few minutes early. Not sure why it is such a big deal. Still louder than heck at the end.

Written by a young guy for sure, he probably never saw anything early/pre Dana Altman at the Civic when there were a few hundred at the game.

I don't think that's really a big deal. Creighton has great fan support and it seems like the entire (city?) town of Omaha is there for every game. The stadium always seems to be packed, it doesn't matter if the casual fans leave early just to avoid the rush.

Thats an interesting point. I know X fans trickled in and even our beat reporter said the atmosphere was unusually quiet this Tuesday against DePaul at 6:30. I think fans will adjust but the new game times are throwing some for a loop.

But this Tuesday for Creighton shouldn't have been an issue- game time was 7:30 local time, not 8 or 815. Game was over by 9:45 local time.
