What happens now?

I figured someone was going to start a thread dealing with this, so why not me?

Since 12 isnt required for a CCG, what do those not in the G5 do now? Do schools such as Cincy and UConn accept their fate and press on, knowing that a P5 invite isnt as likely? They can strive to be the best of the rest try to be like Boise St was.
Do they hold out hope the ultimate fantasy that the P5 will move to 10/11 members and become P6?

Could this finally happen? How much $$$ would it take to make it happen?

Cuse.. .....duke.....Michigan.....Texas
BC ......... wake..... OSU ........ TCU
UConn .......uva .....Purdue......Iowa St
Cincy ....... vtech ......Indiana ...... Kansas St
PSU ..........nc state .....Illinois ....... Kansas
Rutgers.........clemson......Northwestern..... Oklahoma
Maryland........ga etch ......Wiscy..........,, OK St
WVU........ miami ..... Minnesota....... Baylor
L'ville......... FSU ......... Iowa.............. Nebraska

The SEC and P12 remain as is

It means the trolls will continue posting here, because teams like Cincy were likely to be taken in expansion but now they'll remain in a mediocre conference.

Nebraska just spent about $20 million to move to the Big 10, and after four years are on the verge of getting their full cut of the take - about $25millions per year. Yeah, there likely to go back to the dumpster fire Big 12 with Texasss and its minions  Why would Rutgers or Maryland leave the Big Ten to join those teams? That isn't remotely logical.

What's the motive of Big 12 doing anything? If the holdup was a football championship game and they can hold one now, why add teams?

Having read so many opinions I have concluded that nobody has any big plan. Its a weird situation. The P5 conferences all play each other but they are totally independent in motive and action. So I would say at this point all you can predict is that every conference is going to do what is best for itself.

This is probably the best possible result for the Big East.

How so? I just don't see how it affected the Big East one way or the other.

It means UConn needs to start re-evaluating their game plan.

Football in the MAC, basketball in the Big East?

They would still be a threat to leave for FB prominence. Football in FCS or dropped all together or no invitation in my humble opinion.
