Nova at Butler

I have been pumped about this game and have had it penciled as one where Nova might actually lose. (I know, hard to believe, but on average it happens twice a year in conference)

Unfortunately I am hearing Roosevelt Jones is questionable. I hope he plays. I would rather play against the best opposition available, even if it means losing a couple extra games, so that the team can see what they are really made of.

Sprained left wrist? I would think he could play. Non-shooting hand and he is pretty much just a bulldog out there where I would think they could put a protection on the wrist and he could still play close to his normal game.

Kellen Dunham coming off the bench last game? Just to see if he could get out of his funk?


Hoping to see a Nova more like we saw against Creighton where they worked the half court offense in a manner that would make Ed Cooley happy instead of spreading the perimeter and chucking 25 footers all night. Really hoping that josh hart is able to exploit some match ups in the half court set and get into the paint as he has been attempting more lately. Phil booth and Brunson also getting into the paint a little more lately as well.

I think everyone who is not a Nova fan will be rooting for Butler in this one. They need the win if they want to compete for the title and Villanova needs to share their #2 rpi with the rest of the league.

I guess it would depend if you want nova to stay in the top ten range and butker fall to the unranked zone, or if you think it's better to have butker stay top 20 but nova drop down out of the top 15...

I don't think its a huge deal either way. I guess it is probably better if butker wins because nova will likely still land a good seed and a butler win would give them a better chance of seeding in position to make the second weekend.

I just want butler to put its best team in the floor so that we can have a good challenge and gauge where nova is in mid-January.

Nova -4.5 with jones listed as probable.

I love watching all the Big East teams in action. Tonight's game should be fun. Obviously, a little less stressful when you're team isn't playing. Fox Sports also makes it so much more fun because you get to see the teams often and have a much better understanding of their key strengths/weaknesses when they come to town to play. Hell, in the Valley you may see 1 or 2 games a month, and they were usually brutal to watch.

I think it hinges on Nova's 3 point shooting. I know, pretty original.

I think it all boils down to if BU can control their emotions tonight and not overplay and foul on D. #44 is on every single player and fan's mind and they will kill themselves to get him one more win. How they handle that will make the difference. Hope they do, but not the biggest thing going on right now in the program the last few days...

Thats what i thought until they shredded Creighton from inside the arc....
