How Good is X?

X is 12-0, has been winning easily against reasonably good competition, currently has the #1 RPI & #4BPI & #7KenPom, and the announcers at yesterday's blowout of Auburn were already toying with the idea of a #1 seed in March. BUT, X has only played 1 true road game so far (at Michigan), and the next 3 games will be a real test - at resurgent Wake Forest (8-2 with a #75 RPI as of this AM), at Villanova (#2 RPI) to open the BEAST schedule, then at home in a rivalry game against Butler!

So we're soon gonna find out just how good the Musketeers really are. We could finish this stretch at 12-3, 0-2 in the league, and barely hanging on to a top 25 ranking, or 15-0, 2-0, and a pretty solid favorite to win the league and earn a #1 seed in March, or somewhere in between, and 1-1 in the BEAST. So in YOUR opinion which will it be?

As good as anyone in the nation.

My top three teams, in no particular or order are X, MSU, and Oklahoma.

Jay Bilas was pimping X as a possible final 4 team.....

I think they go 2-1. losing to Nova. But it wouldn't shock me to see them beat Nova at all. The thing will be if they lose to Nova, how much wind comes out of the sails. Do they let Nova beat them 2x?

Why do you say that? That would be a very even game. Highly doubt either team wins in a blowout.

Oklahoma and xavier are probably the two most complete teams I have seen in terms of backcourt and front court both being very good. Oklahoma is experienced, they have high end NBA potential.

Put them in a neutral court and that would be an awesome game.

OU is basically the same team that struggled to beat UD in Columbus last March and frankly many believe they won that day because the Flyers simply ran out of gas. Xavier is really good, they have strength at every position and feature enough good shooters to make me believe they won't have too many off nights shooting it from the field.

You are holding their win in the rd of 32 of the tournament (in the opponent's home state) against Oklahoma?

This is also pretty much the same Oklahoma team that took Michigan State down to the wire in the sweet 16 last ye.

Buddy Hield is a man among boys, it would be a close game between X and Oklahoma.
