Updated HLOH power rankings

Postby admin » Mon Nov 30, 2015 9:06 am

I shared this on Twitter but figured I would add it here as well. After a couple of minor blips (i.e. Radford) it has been a very impressive start for the Big East. Nova, XU and butler all look like teams that could make a run in March. PC and Georgetown have the potential as well, while Creighton and Marquette are starting to position themselves well for conference play and it wouldn't surprise me to see one or both on the bubble as the season continues.

1- Nova
2- XU
3- Butler
4- PC
5- Hoyas
6- CU
7- Marq
8- Hall
9- SJU
10- DePaul

I am sorry, but X would wipe the floor with Nova the way they are playing right now.

I want to see X be competitive at least once vs. Nova before making any such predictions.

True, and X does have a tendency to be bipolar. BUT, Wrights teams all fold against capable bigs and I think our front court would destroy them. CAN'T WAIT.JPEG

So, Stainbrook plus Reynolds & Farr weren't capable bigs last year? How bout Obekpa, DeRosiers, Delgado, Smith, or Christmas & Cuse. Yeah, the old our front court will destroy them routine, like Nova's never heard that before. Guess we'll find out in about a month, you get your first shot New Year's Eve at the Pavilion.

I highly doubt that. Nova has only been blown out twice in the last 3 years and it was because of a legend known as Doug McDermott and also Ethan Wragge. I hope Xavier and nova meet on New Year's Eve as top 10 teams. That game will be awesome

Kind of reminds me of the Dayton fans sticking out their chest, announcing an impending beat-down prior to their game with you guys. I believe you guys refer to them as your "little brothers." Hmmm... Be careful what you wish for; your BE big brother is waiting.

Help me with something DudeA, who is the only team X hasn't beaten yet in the nBE? Maybe they should start with just squeaking out a win before thinking about "wiping the floor," of a team they haven't beaten yet.

Also not sure if you've noticed but Nova is winning its games by an average of 24+ pts / game, and have yet to hit their stride.
Go Nova!
