Seton Hall

The pirates have PLENTY of talent to make the dance. On paper they might have the second or third best roster in the league. If I were a coach and given the option of taking any roster besides nova, seton hall would be very high on that list.

Freshmen tend to hit a wall. And obviously there were some chemistry issues with last year's team. But I would not be surprised at all to see the Pirates make the dance and wear white in the first round now that they are sophomores

The freshmen are ready to contribute as soph. Whitehead, Delgado, Rodriguez, carrington. This is a sick sophomore class and next two years they could definitely enter the national conversation.

The big question, of course, is coaching. Really have to make the dance this yr for Willard. Although I think a nit bid is enough to keep Willard on board for next yr considering how much talent is returning (provided there is no melt down again this yr).

Agree completely. I know Willard isn't the next coming of John Wooden, but Whitehead and Delgado are really good. They're not going to finish in the top 4, but they could easily finish 5-6.

I wouldn't be too excited about returning talent. Whitehead and Delgado have both said that they're hoping to leave for the NBA after this season and, if the Pirates do make the dance, their odds of getting drafted could be pretty good.

I'm looking forward to watching Seton Hall take on Wagner today. Hopefully it is a blowout and another win for the Big East.

Fortunately we all get to watch the Pirates v Wagner in beautiful HD resolution courtesy of fox sports. Not a game hat should probably be televised, but I'm not complaining.

Regarding Delgado and whitehead going pro next year, why even talk about that? These kids say that all the time and it rarely happens. Maybe they go the rysheed Jordan route and head to Europe, but neither whitehead nor Delgado are serious threats for the NBA draft next yr (although I could see Delgado making the league eventually). And if things work out this year and the team has a good chemistry and the kids are playing well, it is probably more likely they return to try to increase their draft stock for 2017 where they can realistically look towards the NBA as they would be the foundation of what could be a very good team.

1 thing to watch- the NBA contract ends after the 2016-17 NBA season. So this offseason we may very well see a lot of guys going pro early to get in the league before the lockout. And Delgado/Whitehead are absolute NBA possible players. IF SH makes the Tourney, those 2 would have to carry Seton Hall- putting themselves in prime position to go early. If they do leave, could see Seton Hall being very similar to St John's this year actually.

Carrington and desk Rodriguez are plenty solid too.

Whitehead and Delgado seem to have a good chemistry. Knowing where each other are against Wagner.

Whitehead still relies on long jump shots of the dribble from the isolation too much. That's just lazy basketball.

Just wait, stever will use the horrible ratings that this game will undoubtedly get as fuel to why FS1 stinks.

Yup, stever will say that the seton hall v Wagner game going up against NFL week 10 got bad ratings so fox sucks and we should prefer watching Internet stream games.

Meanwhile, fans of watching big east basketball will be confused as we are happy a game like this is even televised at all.

Anyway, the hall looks solid.
