I'm curious what exactly it is that makes them think the Badgers are a top 20 team. They lost nearly every major contributor since last season, don't have a super impressive recruiting class, and their coach is waffling over retirement. Now, Bo hasn't had a bad team since he's been at UW but all else aside I don't see how they objectively belong.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The all powerful Big East with their amazing recruiting classes only has 1 team in this poll, all while the AAC boasts 3. Is it time to break up the BE again? Maybe add some better basketball schools?

It's one poll.

For instance, this one has one AAC team (#21 SMU)...and they aren't even eligible for the tournament:

I think CBS 25 and 1 is just Parrish's poll. So, that's just one guy. But, they're fun to look at.

Hey champ, how about you guys get a few more teams in the tourney before you start sticking out your chest... And one of your best teams is facing a post season ban already going into this year. What do you expect? Maybe 3 teams to make the tourney this year?

What conference are you guys hoping to get an invite from so you can bolt? Not one team in the BE wants to go anywhere.

We would like to add SMU, but they are always on probation and postseason bans for cheating and breaking rules. It's always unfortunate when a conference's best team is banned from both the conference tournament and NCAA tournament. Never a good look for a conference.

Cincinnati should be more concerned about the fact that Tommy Tuberville is winless in the AAC this season or that the Bearcats have lost 11 (ELEVEN) times to Xavier since 2000. Perhaps they should be more worried about the fact that Chris Mack has reached more Sweet Sixteens (three to one) in less time (six seasons) than Mick Cronin has as a head coach (twelve seasons). Enjoy those heated basketball battles with the likes of Tulane, East Carolina, UCF, and USF.
