Big East Twitter Updates

Twitter is a valuable tool to stay updated on all things Big East. We should have a thread so that members can post relevant tweets pertaining to the league as well as CBB as a whole:

Good Idea Hoya.
Most coaches, AD's and Presidents as well as conference commissioners and even players have twitter accounts as well as sports media people. Collecting those relevant tweets and putting them on one site would be a great advantage to fans. However finding someone with the time to do so is another matter. It would be a 50 hour a week job and therefore we are unlikely to find a volunteer.

I read that twitter is increasing their character limit to 250 from the current 140. But when that will happen was not stated.

In any case you have a very good idea. I nominate you to find someone who has the time to do it.

This is the type of thing you can use the Twitter list feature for. I don't like clogging up my main feed so I use lists to gather together tweets from people I don't want to actually follow but who I want to check in with at times because they tweet about things I'm interested in. Example here: my list for Seton Hall basketball:

Those lists are public, anyone can subscribe to them. Nobody actually does because who other than me would know I even made them? But if someone told me all the relevant Twitter accounts which should be included it would take me about 5 minutes to put together a Big East basketball list if people were interested.

looks like only the top conferences were looked at. Off the top of my head I know Harvard has 2 top 100 players for 2016.

looks like only the top conferences were looked at. Off the top of my head I know Harvard has 2 top 100 players for 2016.

maybe. I do know just looking quickly 33 guys on the espn 100 left to be signed. but 13 of the top 22.

I think every one of fifteen teams I've seen, so far, is an NCAA team. Most noticeably to me is the crazy balance this year from teams 7-30.

I'd guess for the Big East that would be Villanova, Butler, Georgetown, and I'm guessing Xavier being in that 7-30 grouping.
