Just saw the College Sports Madness has started their countdown of the top 144 teams.

No Big East teams yet- they're only at 141 so far. Means 20 weeks from today is opening day of college hoops!

I'd expect to see all 10 Big East teams but who knows...

I think the 2 that will be the most likely to be left off would be Seton Hall and St John's. I expect Creighton and DePaul to be on almost certainly, and then the others are pretty close to no brainers. (one thing to remember this list was likely finalized before the news the last day or two from St John's).

Kind of cool that we're less than 20 weeks from the season again. What's amazing about next year is there's only 2 conference shifts... Northern Kentucky goes from the A-Sun to the Horizon, and NJIT goes from being the last independent to the A-Sun. Only other thing that we'll notice- Texas- UT-Pan American and UT Brownsville have merged and will be the UT- Rio Grande Valley. It's going to be very interesting to see how all the rules changes change the game in 2015-16. And will be extremely interesting to watch and see if the refs actually show some stones and call the freedom of movement that they started 2 years ago before they wussed out.

Penn St is #137. #12 in the Big Ten.
Arizona St is #144. #11 in the Pac 12.

Kansas St- #134- #9 in the Big 12
Penn St- #137. #12 in the Big Ten.

Already of the top 128 teams- they have 41 from the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, and Pac 12.

Of the remaining 123 teams- we know 50 are from the P5. Another 21 are conference champions from the other 21 leagues(6 conference champions already posted). So that would leave 52 other teams out there.

You would think there would be a few Big East teams coming up here really soon.

(I had been wrong about the MVC- they have Loyola (Il) projected as #130, #6 in the MVC.)

Kind of nice to think 110 days until basketball games start- and really only what about 9 weeks until practice starts(isn't that about 6 weeks before the season?)

Not that being ranked in the 100-110 area is anything to write home about, but it's beginning to look like nearly the whole league will be listed. I'm wondering who would people predict are the teams that won't make the cut. I hate to say it, but I doubt St. Johns or Depaul are on it.
