Thought maybe we should have a separate thread for details that have come out of the secret scrimmages that most teams participate in. Creighton hosted Iowa State today in Omaha. Interesting choice because Coach McDermott came here from there. Reports are that Creighton handled the Cyclones pretty well which is great to hear.

Butler's got an actual exhibition game against NOVA Southeastern in a couple days. Can't believe the season is only two weeks away!

PC/Harvard is Wednesday. I don't take much from those games. Coaches are trying all sorts of stuff.

the PC boards are reporting a competitive scrimmage against Harvard yesterday, with tight officiating. PC "won" by 2 according to a few sources, take it FWIW, if anything. Supposedly Harvard beat Umass pretty good in a scrimmage recently. Again these scrimmages most likely have coaches trying different combos, etc. Not sure if its a controlled scrimmage where they stop play etc. Who knows.

PC won by 3 76-73, Harvard is top 25 in some predictions, they destroyed a good UMass squad last week and this game was in there gym. Apparently a very good showing by PC, even without their best player playing.

SHU "secret" scrimmaged George Mason last Saturday...couldn't find box score but found this:

"Sterling Gibbs & Patrick Auda both played well for Seton Hall vs Mason in scrimmage. No Edwin, heard Gibbs scored it well. #SHUMBB"

https://twitter.com/CDiSano44/status/394612895939457024

"There were 68 fouls called in Seton Hall’s scrimmage versus George Mason."

Good news about Gibbs considering it can't be overstated as to how important his play at the point will be for SHU this season.
