It doesn't look like anyone saw this and I just tripped over it otherwise I would have posted it on the first day of voting. Seems it is a tournament of Catholic university and college mascots and they are down to the Elite 8. Sadly though, all of us except for Providence have been knocked out. Butler wasn't even in the running but somehow non-catholic Marist made the field and even made it past the first round (Gonzaga knocked them out in the second round). Sooooo....if we want to help Providence reach Catholic mascot supremacy you can check it out here...

For what its worth, Marist was catholic for a time and according to wikipedia they basically went independent to get more funding. Butler, on the other hand, was founded as Northwestern Christian University but was always independent of church control and dropped the name sometime in the 20's.
Marist was probably included because of the strong catholic connections that are still present on campus, while Butler has none. Really the only Catholic thing about Butler is that we hang out with you guys now!
