Not sure if anyone here has had a chance to pick up the 2014 Lindy's preview magazine, but if you haven't I thought I'd share some of their predictions:

The order of finish is:
1-Creighton
2-Marquette
3-Butler
4-Georgetown
5-Villanova
6-St. John's
7-Xavier
8-Providence
9-Seton Hall
10-DePaul

Their "All Conference" Picks:

1st Team - Markel Starks, Semaj Christon, Ryan Arcidiacono, Doug McDermott & Davante Gardner
2nd Team - Grant Gibbs, Bryce Cotton, D'Angelo Harrison, Kadeem Batts & Jamil Wilson
3rd Team - D'Vauntes Smith Rivera, JayVaughn Pinkston, JaKarr Sampson, LaDonte Henton & Fuquan Edwin

Other "Picks" of note:
Player of the year - Doug McDermott
Rookie of the year - JaJuan Johnson
Top Shooter - McDermott
Top Rebounder - McDermott
Top Player - Grant Gibbs
Most Versatile - Bryce Cotton
Top NBA Prospect - Semaj Christon

Last & most importantly they have 6 Big East teams going to the NCAA Tournament (same as the ACC), they are Creighton, Butler, Georgetown, Marquette, St. John's & Villanova.

The POY in the BE has never been included in the 1st team, so that scenario is impossible.

Crazy how the preseason polls are so dramatically different. Should make tis year interesting. In the old BE, the coaches poll just before the season was almost always the most accurate.

Bought mine right away this morning. Not many surprises, though Butler seemed rather high and St. John's rather low.

Lot of optimism in the Big East...and there should be.

Butler 3? They did lose their superstar coach to the Celtics and top player to injury right?

I almost have to wonder if this was made a few months ago because I really don't see how anyone could think butler would be that high. If that happens though I'll be one happy bulldog

Butler too high; Providence too low. Also I can't see how Bryce Cotton would not make 1st team--even at the expense of RA of Nova. If anyone is going to make an All-BE 1st team from Nova this year I would expect it to be Jayvaughn Pinkston. He's a monster.

Can't take this too seriously with Butler being picked 3rd.

I bet this was set a couple months ago and they forgot to update it, no way Butler is 3rd, more like 7th at best.

They acknowledged Jones being out for the year, so I think it was their legit prediction. I personally don't think they will be competing to stay out of last place, I think middle of the road (about 6th) sounds right.
