Creighton will host Wisconsin as part of the 2016 Gavitt Games, sources told @CBSSports. Official date and time is TBD.

Every CU source said we weren't participating this year so this is quite a surprise. Great news though as we have an NCAA caliber team and needed to add a good non-con game.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Solid matchups. Really looking forward to Wisconsin/Creighton and Maryland/Georgetown. Northwestern/Butler should be entertaining as well. Rutgers/DePaul is just lol funny.

Sounds like Xavier is not happy about this.

"We are disappointed not to be a part of the Gavitt Games this season. We expected to host a Big Ten team and alerted the Big East office more than a year ago to our limited date availability because of the Puerto Rico exempt tournament," Xavier athletic director Greg Christopher said.

"The narrow date window wasn't an issue until the last few weeks. Through the numerous calls and exchanges, we moved other games and ultimately offered four possible dates where we could host a Big Ten opponent.

"Four potential dates and 14 potential Big Ten opponents - yet no game in the Cintas Center.

Sounds like the Big Ten didn't want to budge on the dates of the event. It's hardly a big surprise to me. Pretty much all Big East teams need to know you play in Puerto Rico you won't be in the Gavitt games that year.

Xavier was. They got screwed, because now last minute they have to find a worthwhile home opponent. Xavier's non-conference SOS is going to probably take a hit from this.

If Xavier had been told months ago that theven schedule didn't work out for them, it would have been fine.

Wonder given Creighton is playing Wisconsin if the fact that Wisconsin and Xavier played had something to do with it.
